Feasibility study, ESIA, and detailed design for the New Mtera Dam Bridge (400 m extradosed) and 15.5 km bypass road in Tanzania.
Scope
The project covers the feasibility study, ESIA, detailed engineering design, and tender document preparation for the New Mtera Dam Bridge (a 400 m extradosed structure with 100 m end spans and a 200 m center span) and 15.5 km of bitumen-standard bypass roads.
Approach
Bridge Selection
Determined optimal bridge type and size through discharge calculations and geotechnical data review.
Structural Modeling
Performed detailed structural design of the extradosed bridge using MIDAS Civil software in accordance with TANROADS specifications.
Outcome
Project Documentation
Delivered complete engineering cost estimates, detailed Bills of Quantities, structural drawings, and the full set of draft bidding documents.
Impact Assessment
Completed comprehensive Feasibility and Environmental & Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) reports.
