Technical and road safety audit for 71 km of Kivu Belt highway works and 19 km of access roads connecting Rwanda and Burundi.

Scope

The project covers the Technical Audit and Road Safety Audit for the rehabilitation, upgrading, and asphalting works of the multinational North–South Corridor (Kivu Belt) connecting Rwanda and Burundi. This includes Lot 6 (23.5 km) and Lot 7 (47.5 km) plus 19 km of hospital, factory, and methane gas plant access roads.

Performed on-site road safety inspections and assessed overall compliance with RTDA technical specifications and contract standards.

Financial Auditing

Audited certified quantities and verified payments made under interim and final certificates.

Outcome

Contract Review

Reviewed variation orders, disputes, extension-of-time claims, and addenda to provide RTDA with independent due-diligence audit reports.
