Scope
The World Bank-funded project covers the detailed engineering study and design of thirty (30) appropriate pedestrian crossing structures (overpasses, bridges, and underpasses) along the Addis Ababa Ring Road and LRT corridor to improve safety and accessibility.
Approach
Investigations
Conducted detailed traffic surveys, geotechnical investigations, hydrological studies, and preliminary economic evaluations.
Structural Design
Modeled and designed pedestrian bridges and underpasses using MIDAS Civil Software.
Environmental Safeguards
Performed Preliminary and Detailed Environmental & Social Impact Assessments (ESIA) and Resettlement Action Plans (RAP).
Outcome
Delivery
Completed detailed engineering design drawings, Bills of Quantities, cost estimates, ESIA/RAP reports, and complete bidding documents for all 30 structures.
